I'm sure it is a fan, but you would think that would pay hell on the hyfax.

I'm wondering what the hell is on the skis to make it turn so well. I've never been able to steer on asphault...maybe it's just because I've never gone that fast?

I'd like to see the slides....GONE.

Yep, they make wheel kits. Same thing they use when drag racing on ashphalt.

I bet that was a rush in a half.

Or put a soap bottle on it. Constiant drip-feed to the front of the slider.

PatrioticInnovations over on Hardcoresledder.com makes kits to convert your sled for summertime use. Wheels in the front that just replace your skis, and an axle for the back that you bolt tires too. You do not even have to remove the track or the studs, there is enough clearance to keep them off the pavement. He even sells additional cooling capacity.

Those were actually wheels/tires on that sled, like you would find on a riding lawnmower or something. The kits they use for asphalt drags are an actual ski design with wheels built into them...

^ I stand corrected. I had to watch it again to see the tires, looked like the drag kit.

BTW - It's still called a wheel kit even though it's a ski design. A short ski at that.

Maybe it had a radiator like some of the ice racing sleds have.

I think the ice racers also use an auxillary fuel pump to pump lube to the slides. Do they use RV antifreeze, or something like that?
