I just cleaned and re-installed the secondary clutch on my 2005 Polaris Edge. It has the TEAM secondary on it.

I noticed it slides side to side on the shaft. I am guessing this allows it to align correctly.

It shifted side to side before I removed it as well.

Just want to make sure that it is normal.

How much play do you have in it? Some play is normal, referred to as a free floating clutch which aligns the belt.

anything over .5" of play isnt good.

You shouldn't have anything more than 1/16th of an inch.

i would say it slides about the width of a washer. I figured it had to do with "self aligning"
