I am a freshman studying to become a commercial airline pilot. I already had my private pilots license when starting school. I learned out of a small grass runway a few miles from my home. Were only about 10-15 miles apart. Technically Eagle River is in the Municipality of Anchorage. I can see there from my office window.

I'm from south central Manitoba, Canada. I live about 8 miles from where Manitoba, North Dakota and Minnesota meet. I look down the road and see the US. I live on a farm and work here, and I am taking Agriculture at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.

nice.. pilots. i was pondering going into the airforce for a pilot helicopter, or the coast gaurd for the same reason. id love to be station in alaska for coast guard. start a family there and RIDE!

wryjoker, that is cool. There are many people that get their privates license just to say that they earned it and they can take friends up flying. Then there are people like you that continue their training for more licenses. Why didn't you ever go to the big airlines or was the license just for fun or A/P for maybe a summer job?
