Bought this and put it on my viper, Looks sweet. It comes in different colors. I would suggest placing silicon on any openings. You can tap into you heat shield plug. It comes with the sender also.
Let me know if you need any help.

I just put the same one in my sled, looks sweet! Had to install an AC to DC rectifier to for it to work correctly, added $14 to the cost but works great, can program it to flash when it gets to a high temp too, I have mine set to flash at 180

Yea, i just installed mine last week, I'm lucky the plug that Yamaha gives you for the helmet shield was already DC. I hooked mine up Red to hot and black to ground and it finally lit up. White to sender of course. How did you put yours into your system?

I bought this and then ran a ground wire to my block. I just got it all hooked up last weekend so ill see how she works soon enough.

I drilled out and tapped my thermostat housing and put sending unit into that. Worked great. Got ac power from yellow wire that would feed the "idiot" temp light in the dash, and hooked ground to headlight ground. then ran power to gauge off red power wire out of rectifier and ground to black wire out of recifier.

That sounds like a great idea, but i still wanted my idiot light in my dash to light up in case something happened to my gauge in the future. Just wanted to be better safe then sorry. Where did you get yours from Dumz1?

My sled will still go into limp mode if it gets too hot, light just will not come on. I got my gauge from same light you posted the link for. Wanted the red one but they where out of stock.
