AS I THUMB THROUGH MY NEW SLED MAGAZINE, I FOUND THIS ARTICLE:
appperantly doug and peggy bogart took a trip to denali national park instead of telling visitors at the park things about the park, history and such, the workers there were making attempts to urge visitors to write their congassmen and tell them to outlaw snowmobiles.

now that is really a bunch of sh*t! what the hell do are tax dollars and park use dollars really go for? a bunch of ingrates ruinin or sport, and they probably dont even ride a sled.

Pathetic.

Things like that are so annoying, that and vegetarians telling people not to eat animal products, and just people telling others what to do can just F*ck off. I'm getting sick of protests and all that crap.

Well I suppose there is no way we are ever going to abolish this crime of bad talk against sleds. Now the only thing we can do is be loud, be proud, and tell every one in the sport we need support. Join a club, form a club, if in a club make it an active club in supporting our sport. Do not be idle support other states clubs. Draw up a letter with as many names you can get to support snowmobilers they do not even need to own a sled.
The letter may be as simple as.

We the following people wish to support the sport of snowmobilers in all comunities.
Make several coppies
Then send a copy to any state house legislative, congressman govenor, who ever. And to any group or club who is has existing problems as support. If you hear about parks like these send the park officials a copy too. They can't fine you for supporting a cause that already exists and is being taken away.

We need to stay in big groups, large numbers to fight. Larger groups than we are right now. The pencil pushers know we are segragated and each time we loose another battle no matter where, we all loose.
Think about it how hard is it to get a list of names in you're own community to block sleds? Not very!
If you were being attacked would you like to have lists of names of people willing to support you. From all over, I may never ride in Alaska, but I can say I want to someday and that is why I can support thier cause while I live in Ma.

The Park service was a littles upset with us last year because the Alaska State Snowmobile Association to them to court and won. During the 2000 season the entire Park was open to snowmobiles.
They did not like this and are attempting to close even more of the park than has been closed before we beat them in court.
Sounds kinda childish and vindictive doesn't it.
But then no one actually thinks there reasonable anyway.

Thanks Wry for the support, your right we need to support the sport in general.

This is not my site to promote and use e-mail addresses from here. I would also support any letter and mail it as needed. but as for a letter going out to members derived from Eric and P-man's site that would have to be from them and denoting what thier cause was and where to mail it to.

It sucks that many of you recieve this type of opposition in your communities. Maybe we're just lucky, but it seems like snowmobiling in New England, especially VT, NH, and ME is a way of life, and as accepted as cars and motorcycles.

Yea i agree with xltman, we should send out a letter and get people to sign it. These people who are telling people to get rid of snocats, have they ever rid one? Sleds are fun. If they ever ban em, i will still keep ridin. We whould get the non riders riding so they see actually how much fun it actually is just to be out on a nice sunny day in the middle of nowhere riding around.
