On my snowmobile, the thumbwarmer is taped behind the throttle. I think it has burned out because I dont feel it when its on. If I were to take it off, there would probably be 1/8 to 1/4 extra throttle. My question is this, if I were to take it off would it make a difference in speed? Im just curious. Right now, it probably tops out at about 75-80 mph.

No, there wouldn't be any noticeable increase in speed. The throttle is calibrated for having that thumb warmer in there. You can't pull the slides up any further.
