Check the bushings in belly pan. My 97 were wore the point I could move the bar 1" back & forth. Easy and cheap fix. Now torsion bar only moves 3/8" inch. You may also want to check the alignment of your ski pivot/spindle arms.
On 1997+ model year polaris sleds, there is a front suspension dimension called Maximum Setup Width. You can actually screw the radius rods out further than stock ski stance to make the front end wider. When you do this, the torsion bar becomes too short and falls out. If the ski stance is set back to stock (41"), the problem should go away.
