I just bought a 1999 Polaris 440 indy. i have had and ridden snowmobiles before but always had a buddy that got my stuff set up. looking to find out what i got and what i can do with it. only has 1500 miles on it, was garage kept. seems to be in alot better shape than any of the ones i had before. i cant get over deep snow. high speed and flat, no problem, but, if i hit a hill the whole thing just seems to want to dig in and i get stuck.

Dont think its so much of a suspension problem as it is a low lug track and lower hp,

Tightening up the front limiter strap normally helps the trenching issues.
What track are you running?
have no idea bout the limiter strap. assuming everything is stock. i realized it was not digging in, after cutting across fields or at high rpm for a while and when i would slow way down the motor was loading up. i let it idle for a min or two and it was back to normal. have to check plugs and see what theyy are looking like.
