I ordered an 04 Pro-x2 800 (should be here in about 2wks), and am deciding whether to trade or sell my old sled outright...

It is a 98 poo xc600 (twin, no ves), has a new hotseat clutch kit, boost bottle, studs., around 1800miles.

Dealer only wants to give me around 1600 for it - i think its worth more than that - and guesses?

i would try to sell it privatly, get more money for it than trade in, alothough just trading it is alot easier.

Absoulutely try to sell it yourself if you can! You will get more money for it. A 98 in good shape should get more than 1600 bucks IMO [;)] I would check out some local dealers web sites and price it just under their going rate.
Here is the kelly blue book value:

1998 Polaris Indy 600 XC
2-Cylinder
2-Stroke
593cc
[red]Suggested Retail Value $2680[/red]

I'd try to sell it straight out, theres websites where you can list it for free (like this one [:)]). Or even try ebay.

Sell it yourself, trading in you are just giving the dealer more money.
