Please give me your opinions about adding SLP Twins or SLP's single pipe to a '98 XC600. Looking for more power and torque, without having a time bomb. Also, do you have to run 93 octane with those pipes, assuming everything else is stock?? Thanks alot.

I have an XLT SP with SLP triple pipes and triple canisters. I just changed my jetting. I have always ran premium. Gas for the pipes and jets really doesnt matter, premium is distilled more at the plant so its a little bit cleaner then regular, thats why i use it.

I would go with the twin pipes if you want more power.

The twin pipes will definitly give you more HP yhan the single. I had to change my timing with the pipes. Dont forget that when you change. You WILL like the difference.
