I just had my valves apart on my 500 XC SP to clean them last weekend and was wondering if anyone has changed the springs in their sled different ones than stock. I seen that EPI has different springs for Polaris sleds in their catalog and was wondering on how to determine wich ones would increase performance. I plan on putting a clutch kit in my sled and want to see if there is a way to better enhance the performance after that.

Changing the spring makes a big difference, I have tried several in my '98 XCR 440 SP, but stock works best so far.

The catalog is Erlandson Performance's and yes they do have a website and here it is.

EPI makes great clutch kits and other performance upgrades.

I cleaned my valves in a parts washer with regular parts solvent. I also used a putty knife and a scotchbrite pad. To clean off the solvent I used brake cleaner.
