i sold my remington 700 .243 a few days ago, pretty much stock, except a jewel trigger, and a trued action ow, i'm looking to build a new target rifle. ideally i'd like to get a savage/stevens model 10 use a hart,or badger barrel, 28" 1 in 8 twist with a 1 inch straight taper barrel chambered for 6mm ppc, and a pdc rifle stock with adjustable butt plate. i'm thinking that with this set up i'd be able to shoot consistent 1/4" 5 shot groups. And be less then alot of high end factory rifles. Right around 900.00 finished +/- 10% be a great target rifle, and i wouldnt be scared to get it dirtyether like alot of ppl i know

If your state side. Look on snipercentral and look at their package rifles. Pretty hard to beat them plus the info the site provides. I would look at the .260 remingtion round as it a very good long range round and a devestating varmint/mid size game bullet.

Cheers

I've seen some really nice .223 setups. It's a good, fast round and ammo is cheap compared to some others.
