Im looking for a low profile windshield for a 1989 Indy 400. This would be one that just clears the headlight. I'm sure several years of Indys would fit, but don't know offhand which ones. Anyone have one they would like to get rid of?

Thanks.

Have you already got a windshield, and you just want it lowered.
Darkstar had a neat trick of cutting his down, then painting the inside, Flange tried it too...they look great.
Here's Flanges thread...couldn't find Darkstars...

Here's the cobra website.
You can get these at most sled parts shops.

I had one on my old Indy 400 that I ordered from Shadetree, in the back section. It stuck up about 3 inches from the top of the headlight housing. Yeah, uh, I thought it looked cool at the time, but in the end I realized why i was so cold all the time...and it kinda makes your sled look like a frog...but the shield itself cost like $35. I did the paint-the-inside-of-the-shield on the cobra thats on my XCR (didnt trim it) and love it.

I have a dark blue low profile from a '92 RXL that should work for you. It's in great condition and has red stripes. $30.00 plus shipping.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up triming it up and putting a new piece of windshield trim on it. Came out pretty good.
