It may not be starting because it's flooded. Have you checked the condition of your plugs (Wet or dry, correct color for burn). You may want to check your needles and seats in your carbs. My XLT would "flood" itself after shutting down and sitting even for just a short time. Replaced needles and seats, and away we went (thanks to some fine people here at SF). To test, try shutting off the fuel valve before you shut it down. Try starting a short time later.
Sorry, I only now caught that you had no spark. So maybe heat and/or vibration is affecting your plug cables?
