hi! i am new here. my cousin has a polaris xcr 600 with ski skins, skid plate, hw, tw, carbides, black low-profile cobra hood, hitch, and picks for sale. he said he will sell it to me for $1000. i asked him what year it was and he said 1992. but every wheres i look on the net there is no 1992 xcr 600, only a xcr 440. but there are 1995 xcr 600s.so i am thinking that it is realy a 1995. so is it really a 1995. it is white and it says xcr 600 on the side. it would be my first trail worth sled. i have a 1972 ski-doo olimipque 335 but it does not run any more. it has 9000 miles on the speedo , i know that is high miles but i drove it and it ran very good and the engine compartment looks very clean. so is it really a 1995? and if it is i am not telling him so i can still get it for $1000[:D]. thanks for the help.

Polaris actually made a few 1992 Xlt's as prototypes. They had red+blue graphics.

in 1992 it was a 440, the 600 came out as a preproduction, limited build in 1994 it was a same as the 440 except it had a little 600 on each side of the wind shield. the xlt motor was a 580 when it first came out and in 95' was bumped up to a 600 with differant porting than xcr motor. the 92' was red with a white strip down the hood. the 95' was white with magenta or pink accents. I had both sleds good runners.
