Hi I'm just new to snowmobiling. I ride a '97 Yamaha SX 600. Two days ago I was out riding for about an hour when my water temp light started flashing red. Is this a common thing that happens with sleds and what should I do if it happens again? Thanks for all you help!![:)]

I'm sure that's liquid cooled... dive off the trail and get into some loose snow, so that your heat exchangers can get some snow up there to cool her back down for you.

This all depends on how the light is flashing,If it has a patern there will be a code in the owners manual to refrence to. If this was a temp warning the light would stay on constantly untill temp. went down.

yeah , plus if the pump would be shot ,, you'd have OVERHEATING problem not more then 5 min after start up ,,,,,,,,so it's most likely not the pump. Check your coolant , make sure it's toped up and bleed system to make sure no air pockets are formed.
