...HEAVY SNOW WARNING TODAY AND TONIGHT FOR THOMPSON PASS...
.TODAY...SNOW...MIXING WITH RAIN AT TIMES NEAR THE PORT.
ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS BY LATE AFTERNOON OF 18 TO 24 INCHES AT
THOMPSON PASS AND 4 TO 8 INCHES NEAR THE PORT. HIGHS 30 TO 35.
EAST TO NORTH WINDS TO 10 MPH.
.TONIGHT...SNOW CONTINUING. SNOW MAY MIX WITH RAIN AT TIMES NEAR
THE PORT. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 10 TO 20 INCHES AT THOMPSON
PASS AND 4 TO 8 INCHES NEAR THE PORT. LOWS NEAR 30. EAST TO NORTH
WIND TO 15 MPH.

Could be as little as 28" of new snow and as much as 44". Its a drive but I think I've got to go.

Not sure how much they had before that but they typically have more snow than just about anywhere. I think the record snowfall for the pass in a 24 hour period is like 76". Being just up the hill from Valdez they get a lot of weather and most of it falls as snow. We used to keep a boat in Valdez until one year they got 9' of snow in 11 days.
