Waiting for some blue leds...tnmemr said:They look good. What are you using for back lighting?
Yah, my wife loves them... They're not stickers tho. I made a plate on my engraving machine. It turned out pretty cool...Bames said:Looks good, also a fan of the stickers haha
I made them. I have a engraving business at home.97xlt600 said:Looks good did you buy them or paint?
Not sure guys. I'd have to order the plastic, depends on how many I do. You guys think 35.00 a set is fair? (for 5 inch faces) 30.00 for the 3-7/8" It's really not hard to change them. Although I haven't looked at a set of 5 inch gauges...teamarctic14 said:
The hardest part was getting the bezels off. It really isn't difficult, just takes a bit of time. You take a screw driver and pry the lip back all the way around the gauge. The more time you take the nicer it will go back on. The trip rest knob unscrews. The needles are friction fit so just gentley spin and pull them off. then just tack the screws out of the face...Thinksno said:How did you open gauges to redo face? Nice job!
I haven't orded them yet, There are so many on ebay...tnmemr said:
Be sure to get LEDs that are 360* beam pattern otherwise you will have hot spots. I have some similar to these that work well.kicson66 said:I haven't orded them yet, There are so many on ebay...

Below are pics of the LEDs I'm using. A better camera would show the true colors better and both colors look better to the eye than the pics show. The blurry pics are closer to what the colors look like although the actual colors are a little deeper. Clearer pics are using a different setting but show the colors lighter than what they actually are. I reversed the bulbs to show what each color looks like in both gauges. To get the best coverage, you need to turn the bulbs to where you like it best. The bulbs are polarity sensitive. (only work 1 way)kicson66 said:Thanx for the tip! [thumb]
