I was just wondering if welding on the chassis of my 96 Polaris will damage any of the electronics onboard. I know that you need to disconnect the battery on newer vehicles before welding to protect sensitive electronics. Since there is no battery on this sled will the cdi be damaged by welding? Any input is appreciated.

keep ground close to work area, if you are worried about it unhook ground wires from chassis.
