just bought a 95' skidoo formula z 583 , it has 3k miles. was told to use synthetic, it's oil injected, what's the best oil to use?

If you don't have RAVE valves, you can use Phillips 66 Injex oil. Good stuff! I doubt you will have to use synthetic oil, but synthetic won't hurt it.
A friend of mine has a '97 MXZ with RAVE valves, and he uses the regular Injex in it, and never had any problems.

what about something like pennzoil snowmobile oil? they sell it at my local auto parts store cheap.

I have used that pennzoil oil's and i have never had any problems with it ,the synthetic you can go to Wal mart and buy it for around 21 dollars a gallon, the blend ,can get it for 11 dollars a gallon

yea i know i should just buy bombardier, but they want an arm and a leg just for the bombardier name on the bottle. i'm looking to save some $$$ cause that's just me, i'm thrifty like that. if i can get a comparable product for half the price i will do that.
