Hello I need to change my track on my ZRT 1998, do I need to open the chaincase the loose the shaft??
Help will be apreciate!!!!

Yep, You have to take out the drive shaft, while your there replace the bearings on the both sides of the drive and jack shafts.

Like wigga said you need to pull the front axle. If your old track is shot take a razer knife and cut the old track in half and get it out of the way. Then everything is right out in the open and your not fighting the old track to get the axle out.

Ya don't forget the barings, but they can be a real pain, I had to use a torch to heat up the one on the brake side to get it out on my old sled, a 1987 250 Bravo, the baring seazed right in it.

Just don't use cutters, just heat it up (use gloves), and pull it out.
