2004 Polaris Pro X 550f are they picky just like the Pro x 440 fan or liquid? Would theses be pretty good trail sleds?
Better trail sled would obviously be the 550. Decent on gas ( depending how you ride it ), fan cooled twin. Reliable. The ProX chassis is decently strong, even the consumer ones.snowmobileguy said:What would be a better trail sled
04 Pro x 550f
03 Pro x 440 all trail converted with oil injection
Will a shorty seat go a 04 550f?
You got it.snowmobileguy said:Good cause I am thinking about buying one. Would a longer seat fit on the 03 then?
Yup. A tempaflow setup is all you need though to keep it performing close to perfect at all temps.Mad-Boondocker said:I can not remember right but the race 440's that were converted were temperamental to tune but hen they were they performed great

And yes, a shorty seat will bolt right up with no problems at all.

check out aean for them. i think they made a pipe for that model. that pro x 550, my bro had one. was a nice ride. engine seized up twice. first one, he forgot to add oil in the injector. then it got bored over, had more problems after that and i guess he just left it alone after wards. chassis is still good, but idk what he's gonna do with it.snowmobileguy said:Do they make a can for a pro x 550f
