Try hi-performance engineering. They carry a decent assortment of instrumentation.

Not that I completely want to hijack this - I wanted to get a water temp guage for my TXL since all it has is an idiot light. I was planning on getting one from an auto parts store. I've heard that sleds should be run at 150-160 range, is that correct? Not the usual 175-190 for a car?

Mind you, if you use and automotive one, you will need a AC to DC converter, the electrical systems on these sleds is AC and the gage will NOT work without the converter.

how do you do it with diodes? can you PM me a schematic? I always buy the rectifiers, and you're right, it is cheap and easy.

Here, the resistor and capacitor isn't necessary - it just cleans up the voltage a bit -

But like I said a bridge rectifier is the same thing - already packaged. You can pick them up for a few bucks.

I bought mine through SLP. I think it was a hundred bucks all said and done.
On the Fuji built motors, the old "idiot light" comes on at 207 degrees.
