i bought a 1996 ski doo formula 4 600 and they said it had a clutch kit my question is when i go to hit the gas it takes a second or to to engage is this some kinda of clutch kit ?

It is a formula 3 not a 4 and yes it could be. What rpm does it start to move at.

First off what rpm are you engaging at? Most sleds engage around the 4000rpm area. Some as high as 5500rpm depending on how its set up.

Unless its bogging between idle and engagement then id say its completely normal. Hard to tell if its a clutch kit. Look at your primary and secondary spring colors and do some research do find out if they are stock springs.

Completly normal. Alot of guys ran the triple/triples at 5000rpm engagment.
