i have a 03 sks and i was told the yellow wire comming out of the ignition box is for a heated shield,well i hooked a test light up to that wire and it had no juice..any ideas?thanks

i dont wanna tap into anyother wire because i guess it can cause a power surge or both things being hooked up to one wire could cause damage i heard anyway

Find the yellow wire at the voltage regulator. You can unplug it and make up a wiring harness yourself so you dont cut any wires. Conveniently enough ground is there also. Just a few strips of wire, some bullett type connectors and some shrink tube will do it.

Your regulator is right above the left stirup. Plug the red wire into the yellow plug, there should be an empty pin. Make sure the helmet is good for AC/DC, since the wire is AC.
