Well, I don't own an XC but whenever I drive on I use the Polairs VES oil in the gold bottle. I would asume that just about any 2 cycle VES oil would work although I would go for some of the higher end stuff.

I ride a 98 XCR 440 SP, and i have always used to the Polaris VES oil as well. I have used AMSOIL in the past with excellent results, but is also expensive. The key to these oils i believe is to prevent sticky valves and does that by burning cleaner. The synthetics have little or no ash and other substances that cause stickiness. I have also never fouled a single plug using the AMSOIL. Coincidence? Maybe. How often do you clean your valves??? 500 miles or less has worked for me.

On my 97 XCR 440 SP with 98 engine update, I run Torco oil, It's not fully synthetic, but I don't have any problems with it either.

Ill be running Polaris VES. I know its expensive but feel like its a good idea, new sled. If you buy by the case the dealers here give 15% discount knocks it down to about $25 a gallon.

In my 500 I use the VES or the Premium Gold. I have also used AMSOIL and SpectroSno and have not had any problems with any since I stoped running the Champion plugs and switched to NGK.
