I just replaced my clutch in my 96 xltsp, I also noticed some grinding sounds when I pin it. I thought at first that my drive lugs were slipping un the track so I tightened up the track... then all of the sudden I pinched it again, and it made a horrid clunking noise and the track will not spin, is it possible that I broke the chain in the chaincase? This Sled has reverse.... can anyone point me to a location on the web where I could find some pictures of what the chaincase looks like torn apart? This REALLY sucks, we just got 13" of snow, and now my sled is broke....

THANKS

Go look here. http://www.partsland.com/index.cgi?N=1044377467-3462&P=Polaris-Snow

You only have to take off 4 bolts to look in you chaincase. Remove silencer first and it's pretty easy.
