recently started a rebuild after the compression went way down on one of the cylinders, got all the parts in last night finally and hit a road block pulling the crank case apart to put in new seals. it seems hung up on the mag side. do you need to pull the clutch, magneto, and flywheel assemblies off and if so how do you get them off. took the long bolt off the clutch figuring it would slide out after that....nope. as for the mag side i cant see anything that i could unbolt, unscrew, etc to get it out either. help please!

yes, you need to take off the flywheel and stator.the stator has three mounting screws which will keep the case from seperating.you will need a flywheel puller.if you are replacing your crank seals you will have to seperate the crankshaft by pressing it apart unless you are just replacing the outter ones.
