i have a 1994 xltrmk and it has a 136" track, i ride in north east oregon and we do lots of hillclimbing, this thing climbs alot but when its reall powdery i need to know how 2 get more traction by adj. the suspension, i tightened the front limiter straps, but i have also heard 2 loosen them, which is it?

If you loosen them, you will get more traction because the suspension will contour to the ground a bit more.

Yes to get more power in the powder you would want to loosen the strap. This will also remove some ski pressure allowing the front end to lift and plane higher in the soft snow. If you go too far though, you will have too high an angle of attack and just trench your way up the hill. Another option is to get wider skis so you displace more snow and ride higher in the snow.
