I just think that they are worried about posts taking up disk space and bandwidth, cause that costs money.....Every board on the net is like that, try not to take it too personally!

Ok, here is the deal, if you see a snow topic on the first page, dont post a new one. Just post what you think in there. If you don't see one, post away! I don't care about disk space, I don't care about bandwidth, I don't care. Just post, need posts, need members to stay, need happy members. I don't know what dgot into Polaris-Man, maybe he saw like 3 snow posts in a row, that is why.

erick....just curious but where is this site horted that you don't care about bandwidth and space? Do you host it yourself on your own line or what? I was just wondering cause I have seen some overbandwidth bills for other sites and they are not cheap! Make sure that there is no fine print on your hosting contract because some ISP's promise unlimited bandwidth but really do have a cap on it. Just don't want you to get caught with a huge bill!

Oh well.....nah, I am hosted with my local internet/telco company. They are good guys and I know them personally. I get 100 mb of storage space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited e-mail addresses, all your basic stuff for $10 a month. I can get 50 mb of sql server for another $10 a month. Right now the db for the forum consumes around 5-6 mb, not that large. I may upgrade to sql in the near future.

Well that's cool, I guess this forum is still quite small. The other forum I visit (www.eclipseforums.org) uses like 50-60 gigs of disk space and around the same amount of bandwidth per month, and there is like around 5000 members.... I guess we have a ways to go for those kind of #'s!

Yeah, I live about 45 minutes from old forge, I was able to put a massive 1.2 miles on my sled. LOL, just in the back yard. I need at least 6 inches to ride the trails here because I make them... :)
