i am figuring that the needle and seat are to blame for the gas i have pumping out the two over flow lines and filling the crank case on my 2002 zl550. now the question i have is how do i get the pin out that is holding the arm the is under the needle. i have mikuni round slide carbs, with duel indivudal floats that are mounted in the bowl. it is pressed in or something it will not push out. will i have to drive it out or am i missing something?

I usually take a nail, finishing nail if you have one, and lightly tap it out. Some of them had a head on the one side so it will only come out one way, it will be obvious if it has it. If you can, rest the ear opposite the side you are hitting on the edge of a bench (without covering the pin) to reduce the risk of bending or breaking ear.
