My 01 zr600-carb generally runs great, but every so often I get a significant power loss, almost like it's only running off one cylinder. It just started doing this near the end of last season. Both plugs are good, clean and never fouled. Sled is like new, stock -- only 2500 miles on it. Any ideas?

I would first put new plugs in. If that doesnt fix it i would see if you can figure out if in fact it is going down to one cylinder. If it is switch plug caps and see if the problem changes cylinders. If it does i would replace the spark plug caps.

The other thing i would do for sure if you havent is clean the carbs as it could be a lean condition in one carb.

Darkstar is right on the money, new plugs first. spark plugs can also be fouled internally, which you cannot see.
