Let me introduce myself. My name is David DeArmond from Michigan. Back in 1974 my grandma purchased 9 brand new Polaris snowmobiles, and 5 used snowmobiles for parts and all of them were from 1971-1974. Since then we have gotten rid of all of them except for two of them a very powerful 1974 Custom II, and a very rare and expensive 1974 TC 175. They haven't been running for 14 years now and the past 4 1/2 years they have been sitting outside in the weather. Their is a ton of rust on them both but the one that has the most damage to it is the TC. Here are some pictures of my sled before and during its restoration I'm still not done with it but I'm close to being done.

With every thing off. I took a wire brush to the whole thing to remove most of the rust.

Hey, that's pretty cool. I'm a '74 Polaris fan myself. Keeps us updated on the progress! Paint or powdercoat the chassis?

And when it's done, load it into the back of a station wagon and take some pics to recreate the factory's pics when they were marketing that sled!

I don't own a station wagon. My relative owns a painting company that uses some kind of powder paint so he is going to help me out with that. My family used to own a Polaris Mustang and 2 Polaris Chargers and they were cool looking me personally i liked the hoods because the lights looked like farrie head lights. I also own a formula III ski-doo but i crashed it out in my friends woods.

I was looking behind me to see if my friends were following me and i hit a tree going about 60. I ended up selling it to a junk yard because it was so badly damaged, and because i wanted a new one.

They are fun in the mud 2, if you put some boggie wheels on the front. We used to use boggie wheels until i customized 2, one foot high wheels from a lawn tractor to fit the sled. They go on the front like regular ski's and they work great.
