Got my motor back together with a new PTO piston and with some fine tuning, she's running good. Idles 1800 and accelerates with no bogging whatsoever.
But.....when it's coming down from higher Rpm's, it'll make a popping noise 3-4 times, then settle back down to a perfect rpm, depending on the throttle of course. Not a backfire, just a pop-pop-pop-pop, after hitting the higher Rpm's, namely close to full throttle, but since the rebuild, I'm taking it easy.
I did add a bit of pre-mix to the tank to be on the safe side. 4 gallons of new gas. Too Rich? I'll check the plugs tonight...got late on me last night.
Maybe some water left in the tank? It maybe had 1/2 gallon of gas in it.
Extra gas in the cylinder? Something I should be concerned about? Maybe? Any other ideas?
My other 600's with the same motor don't do it...
EDIT/Update...After doing some reading it's called decelaration popping. How do I stop it?
