will a 85 phazer 2 engine fit in a 97 phazer 2? If not any suggestions will help.

Yes it should,,basicly the same chassis

I don't know about that,,,,85 to a 97,hmmmmn,,I had a 87 donor sled and "nothing" would inerchange to my 91,

what were you trying to inerchange????

Agree^^^^^^^"they look"the same, when they changed to a wider front end,alot changed,the only thing I could use was the ski's, the engine mount's,plastics,cables seat,ect...all differant.

Ok...but the "Basic" motor it's self was the same...i think?????

Just because it looks the same doesnt mean it is the same. No unless you really knoiw what your doing it probly wont fit. However you could make it fit by taking measurments from the old chasis and stuff like that. I put a 680 ultra motor in a 500 indy before but it took time.

i just moved the engine over and it worked except for a wire was shorter so i had to change some of the electrical
