My father had 1 exactly like those. I have not heard of any major problems with them. My father had to clean the carbs on his alot though. He ended up selling it and buying another single. He has always had XLT's or 500's and never had any trouble with them...ever. I have a 1996 XLT and the motor is very similar if not the same and the only problem I have had is the speedometer just went out. Good Luck with the purchase man, and I know you will have fun.

I believe that is the aggressive chassis.

The only failure I expect will be caused by the big windshield. You will fail to get a lot of wind/rain in the face..

It's actually an Evolved chassis. Buddy of mine has the XLT Limited, no problems with his, and he's got the '97 model. Make sure you run good oil and gas through, watch the plugs, and you shouldn't have any issues.

Triples are sometimes hard to pull start.

What?!!?!?? Not a triple that's anywhere close to tuned right...

If my triple has run within 2 days, a half hearted single pull will fire it up.

If not, it may take up to a maximum three pulls to start it. (the third can even be half hearted...)
