I have 1998 polaris indy and am ready to go for the weekend bought new carbides for it and ready to put them on , and they don't fit it seem like the diameter of the rod that fits in the holes on the skis is bigger than the hole. Do i just drill the hole a bit bigger ?
is this a common problem? What size is it supposed to be?

I think that happened to SKSPolarisIndy with his ultra, he bought 6 inch carbides for it, and the studs were to big to go through the skis. You can probly just drill them bigger.

Did you change to a dual runner I did and I had to drill them out to 3/8 right now the holes are 5/16. This is a easy quick fix good luck.

Friend of my put a set of 6 inch carbides on his 98 and did have to drill the holes a bit larger for them to fit.

i don't know about other brands but woodies makes all thier carbides to fit in plastic skis.you need to drill out the hole in the frt of your ski for the carbide rod to fit in.i returned two pair this winter before calling to find out the problem.
