I'm not sure that anyone can help me with this question. But here goes. My friend and I went to fire up his Yamaha Enticer and we had difficulty starting it. When we got it started it idled ok but we couldn't get any RPM's out of it. We thought it may have been fuel starvation or bad fuel. After draining all fuel and checking the fuel pump, filter and carb we still had the same problem. We also changed out the spark plugs, but again we still had the same problem. My friend assured me that it was running great when he used it last, although that was 6 months previously. Anyone got any ideas as to where we should look next? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you take the carb off and clean it ?
The main jet and passages are probably gummed up.
Make sure mice are not nesting in the air box.

Is the choke cable/assembly stuck? Pull the end off the carb and make sure it is free.

It is probably an enrichener . Looks like a plug that goes up and down in a hole. Down is choke off, up is choke on .

When you say checked the carb, what do you mean?
