HI GUYS,
Back in february I posted having a problem with series 2000 amsoil chain case oil leaking out.Well I believe it's not the oil at
all and it must be a seal. Now I have gone to the polaris dealer and bought a new rubber seal that goes around the chain case cover and installed it.Torqued all the bolts and filled the chaincase back up to the safe mark on the dipstick.I went out for about a 20 mile ride and opened my hood to see a puddle of oil that I just put in lying on the bootom under the cover.I wiped the oil all out and under the cover.I let the sled sit till after lunch and rechecked it again.NO MORE LEAKING.I start it up and went for another small ride and "BAM" oil leaking out again. It only does this when the sled is moving and not sitting there.Does anyone have any idea where this oil could be leaking from when the sled is moving?
I think I'm ruling the cover seal out for now.
Thanks,sparkyd31
