Ski-Doo 600 History

Does anyone know what the first year of the 600 H.O. was for Ski-Doo and what models it was available in.

My father's looking to upgrade from his 96 Formula 583 to a newer used sled but he would prefer the HO motor to the 600 that originally replaced the 583. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe you could get it in the 1999 mxz chassi. Im not sure what models.

Talked to a friend today. He said the 99 mxz did not have the HO just the 670's did. He said that the HO was more a 03 sled.

The 600 was the Series 3 engine until 2003 when they made the 600 HO. Both are still in use.
