I'm working on a ski-doo secondary from a 98' Formula that my dad took apart last year. I took it apart and expected loads of preload due to ski-doo using heavier springs. However I ended prying and hitting the center hub to get the helix out. I thought something was wrong when I opened the sheave by hand to take the belt off, because Ski-Doo gives you the tool to screw in and open the sheave.
My dad says he is having trouble because as soon as the primary engages the secondary opens about half way. First thing I thought of is the classic 1/3 of a turn to preload the spring on the Polaris secondary. So does Ski-Doo do the same thing?
