I've been looking to build another sled for hill drags until my buddy told me he was going to sell his '02 RMK 860. Before I buy it I was just curious what you guys thought. It has the 860 big bore kit done by HTG, Indy Dan torquer crank, motor has a little under 100 miles on it since this was done, brand new primary and clutching, msd wires, big wheel kit, slp intake new track and 240 studs, boss seat, also has CPI twin pipes. He's looking to get $4500 for it. Was curious if this was worth buying or not?

Even with the amount of money he has sunk in it? He's run it on the hills a few times this season and it is a proven winner. I thought about offering $3500 for it. The head needs to be shaved and it needs race porting.

Ok, 860 means running in the 900 class.

Pics are useless in hill/snow drag.

If the motor isn't 100% stock on the outside it will get put in the pro-stock class. (twin pipes is at least improved stock)

Can you use it to be competitive in the class you will be put in?
The sled is legal for superstock, it doesn't have high rpm race pipes and it is trail ported. This sled has been competitive every time it has run this season. He's going with me to the next race so I'm going to see if he will let me enter it in a class to see how I like it.
