hey guys yeah i was just wondering what your opinon was on a 1993 ski doo formula 3? i am looking at it this weekend it has only 998 miles on the original motor really clean never abused always used for going 10 to 15 a week or 2 for ice fishing and the owner is the original and he is a little older and has always kept it in the garage and changed the coolant and chain chase oil every year and he is asking for me 700 bucks what do you guys think how they ride and so on and so forth
what do you think?

Less than 1000 miles, in great shape for 700 bucks??????? Buy it and don't look back! It's older, rides rougher but it is still going to give you lots of fun! I'd jump on it if I had the chance.
It's a 580 motor, reliable, consistant, smooth. It'll get up to about 80mph in the right conditions. Don't look for much in the line of off trail performance or mountain riding, it simply won't do it like a modern sled.
It looks like you can appreciate an older sled, if this one is in good shape keep it that way and you will have a runable classic in 15 years. My Uncle has a 92 plus and it has zero running problems on it since day one, granted it has been cared for.
They are a great cruising machine.
