At 15 I was riding the same stuff that I ride today:
2004 PRO X2 600
2002 Yamaha YZ 250

But I do not get every thing handed to me, basically I do everything
around the farm, and I didn't get allowance, so that was kind of my allowance,
so every so often I got something. Which I think it is better than allowance because if I had gotten allowance I would have spent it on stupid crap.

Same thing here, I did a lot of chores around the house and so instead of giving me an allowance my parents paid for my snowmobile gas[;)]

Deere didnt come out with the JDX8 until 73. That was my first sled too.

I had a 1980 Polaris TX-C 340 and my brother had a 1980 Polaris TX 340, both were free air, the only differences in them was mine had a rubber track on it and whoever had it before put Wiseco racing pistons in it. It used to blow the doors off my buddies 1986 Indy trail 440 and keep up with another buddies 1994 STX 583 for the first 150 feet then he would blow the doors off me. I found this one on the Swap Meet, both were almost identical and looked exactly like this when I got it. A few rolls and a head on collision, it now has a pure black hood and "modded" handlebars. Both of them are still in the back of my parents barn and both still run.[attachment=44366][attachment=44367]

When I was 15 I rode a 1972 Arctic Cat Cheetah 440 fan cooled...then a 1986 Indy Trail 488 Fan cooled....then I moved onto a 1989 Indy Trail....and then to a 1995 500 Classic 2-up......and now a 2001 600 xcsp....I've bought all of the sleds myself, nobody's help...there's no need to get mad at other kids who's parents give them money for sleds, or whatever they want...it's not going to help...you're working for everything you get and you'll appreciate it more anyway...

Im 15 now and have a 95 xcr 600 with psi pipes, wiseco pistons and many other mods, a 96 z 440, and a 96 trail 488, and i am currently looking at buying a 99 xc 700. i have paid for all of my sleds and paid for parts and everything. My dad owns a business and my mom owns another business. I dont get what ever i want. there are 14 kids in my family and there all from the same parents(just in case you were wondering) My family has always loved riding snowmobiles. I started out with an old kitty kat and then got a 87 or 88 indy sport 340, then when i was 11 i bought the trail off my dad for 1200 dollars(very good deal) and then bought my brother in laws a/c z 440 for 1000(another good deal) but then i bought my xcr(its called the bounty hunter) It was originally owned by the owner of the local polaris dealer around my area and he did all the mods to it. He sold it to a guy and he blew it up i bought it and then had the motor rebuilt and now i have $2000 in it. shes not new but ive beat lots of 800s including my brothers 800 xcsp. all of the money ive made is from working for my dad. Ive worked for him since i was 9 or 10 and work 40-50 hours a week in the summer and during school i work about 10-20 hours a week making $7.50 and im just happy to have a job and too have my sleds. I have no problem with kids who get brand new sleds if they respect them and have to work for what they get. i dont like people who get a brand new sled and bitch about what a piece of shit it is.

At 15 I had a 1973 polaris colt that i got for free out of the junkyard, my dad thought i was crazy but i managed to get it to start and run. The only problem was that it didnt have a track, so I parted it out and used the couple parts i sold to pay for parts for the 1980 Ski-doo Everest that I picked up for free, also not running. Made it work and rode it for the last bit of winter. This summer I managed to pick up another sled, not sure how it will compare to the everest but this was also free, and non-working. My dad thought I was completely out of my mind when we picked the thing up. Its a 1973 Ski-doo nordic 640 and its been sitting so long it has moss all over it. I did some carb and electrical work and now i've got a sled for this winter.

I'll tell you, heads turn when i go down the trails. Most people around here have 2003-04's and consider them old, so I stand out.

Well I've never owned a snowmobile or four wheeler or dirtbike or anything when I was 15, I think we use to race our lawn mowers ... anyways... I got a 1993 Polaris indy 440 liquid cooled at an auction 2 days ago, its basically my "extremely" early christmas present and my dads sign of appreciation for my acedemic achievements. I cant wait to ride it :) ( ps. does anyone know where i can find double pipes for it? im kinda clueless :p )

It was a 1979 or 80' Yamaha 300 Special Twin. Man I wish I
still had it. That thing was cherry!
