Most of you knew about my last project, a 99 mxzx 440 race sled with a 98 xc 700 motor set up with SLP twins. Well i sold that chassis as a roller, (which i regret but anyways time to move on). Of course i kept that 98 xc 700 motor that i rebuilt. I did throw it in a JUNK 98 rmk chassis but had a 121 xtra 10 under it cuz i had already sold the long track set up off of it. Well that was just temporary for a beater sled.
Here are some pics of that sled, i never got any pics til after i had pulled the rear skid out of it, but o well. I had some fun on the sled til one of the front shocks kinda went to crap and would like hang down on one side sometimes. Was really annoying. This chassis looks like its been crashed a couple times, totally junk and look how many miles are on it. Well if you cant see, its about 6700 i think.

I have since bought a somewhat better 98 rmk chassis. It consisted of complete tunnel, bulkhead, and belly pan. And of course all the coolers and stuff. Also came with complete front suspension and steering, which i need most of since mine was totally wore out and crap, and shocks which again i needed so i figure what the hell i should buy that to replace mine, just what i needed.
Well of course when i buy shit i always overlook stuff, i got it home and realize the front motor mount holes are SHOT. Totally egged out. Here are some pics.

I decided to bring it into the machine shop and have them weld the holes shut. He welded them shut and ground it down/smooth it out for me. Looks pretty good. I still have to redrill the holes for the motor mounts tho. Ill be doing that pretty soon.

Other than those motor mounts, it appears to be in pretty good shape.

Here is the new skid i got next to the 121 xtra 10. Its supposed to be off a 97 rmk, its a 136 xtra 10. I dont have a track or tunnel extension yet, hoping to get one real soon.

I havent gotten a whole lot done with the new chassis yet. I got my riser and bar set up on it, the motor mounts welded up, still need drilled out like i said. Got my chain case, nose cone, skis etc on it. Also the drop brackets for the skid. Not a ton done but mostly because i cant throw the motor in and dont have the track yet so it kinda sets me back from doing alot of work. I will be updating this with new pics as i go along with it. It shouldnt be much more to get it done, mostly waiting to get parts for it.
