According to my speedo which could be way off i had her pegged over 120mph. From what i read they are in the 155-160 hp range. Very fast. A bit heavy throwing around on the trail thouigh. But itll beat anything across a lake. And the aggressive chassis grows on you.

overall the engines live forever. the sled is geared for about 115-120 depending on your weight and conditions. they geared them down a little for 2000. the heavy chassis rides real nice on a ok trail. on groomed trail or nice conditions it will be the funnest sled you have ever rode.

Search the site, plenty to compare to. The speedo is off and would wrap it off the end. 118-121 real miles is about it.
People bash the aggrssive body,I really did'nt notice much of a differance between the two. On the Gen II you can see your skis a bit more but butt feel is very close. i miss those lights.
Agree with the captian, get a torque arm, I still have a bent foot well.
Watch the waterpump, I rebuild mine at 6000 miles to be safe.

I own one of these also ,funnest sled ever ridden fast ,trail capable very smooth ,with a white knuckle accleration

I have an XC 800 w/ about 160hp and it will pass 110mph pretty easy so I would assume the triple would have a bit of a high end advantage on that.

I think that after a certain point it doesn't really matter except for bragging purposes. After 100mph it is all just crazy fast, which is just they way I like it [:p]
