me and my buddy(lysne) were gonna go screw around in his blazer and when we got it goin we realized somethin was really screwed up
when in neutral its in a forward gear.......it actually drives in nuetrall
and reverse doesnt work at all
and drive feels like a lower gear

I have been around vehicles a lot and know my **** but wtf?? has anyone ever heard of somethin like this and how is it possible?

The cable/linkage is probably screwed up. My dad's '79 F-150 is like that and I've seen a few others do that as well.

Id say the cable linkage too. I had a car that was always 1 gear behind on the lever. The linkage gets sloppy over time. Should be able to fell what gear engages anyways. Ive driven cars that always read Park.

I'll third on the linkage, go to a shop, they should be able to adjust it for you for a minimal fee, if not free.

It turned out to be the shifter valves in the trani
the wrong ones shift at the wrong time.......oh well the trani was junk anyway

oh and I checked out the linkage......its in perfect shape lol

same difference just consider drive as 3rd and overdrive as drive still the same amount of gears.

One time a blond was going to work.
She got in her car, put it in gear, and slammed into the garage instead of just driving out into the road!

Her husband asked her.. "WTF were you doing!? Put it in Drive and go! DUH!"

She said "Sorry honey, I was late for work and I thought R ment RACE!"

buahahhaa.. sorry, but it fit this thread [:)]
