I got a new job in the last three weeks and I work with a couple of putzes! One of them brough up snowmobiling after talking like an idiot on the subject of motorcycles. Granted I think this kid maybe 19-20. He starts talking about his sled and he's like I have a Polaris 600 triple. So I ask him if it is a XLT or XCR? He tells me XLT. I ask him the year, just to get a conversation going and try to relate to this guy. Maybe talk about the crank issues you know. Then he says 2000. [?] I ask, "are you sure it isn't a Triumph?" Because the XLT wasn't made in 2000 and the Triumph was the only triple 600 left in the Polaris lineup. He says yup, and from there I declared everything out of his mouth null and void! All my attempts to relate to this guy have ended in argument. I was tempted to call him out on it, then I remembered one of Erick's old signatures. "Don't argue with and idiot, he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience." So true! He did that on every other argument I had with him!

I am sick to death of dealing with stupid people.
One thing i just love is when they are so stupid that you say something and they just look at you and you can see the light go out in there melon.

You know in previous jobs I didn't have any issues with anyone. Now suddenly I've got issues with two guys. It's just frustrating that guys think they know it all and suddenly they show that they are probably just habitual liars. Really is sad you can't trust anyone these days.

A lot of the people I work with are not only stupid but childish as well. They seem to forget that they are at work to do their job and get a paycheck, not to make friends and socialize.
I feel like Im back in highschool sometimes...

i worked with a dumb kid this summer. After he finished pumping this lady gas and took her money he said have a nice day. What he forgot to do is take the hose out of the car and put the cap back on. when she pulled away she ripped the hose out of the pump and broke the pump. Thats just one of many dumb things he did this summer at work.

I work with a few people that really should have no business in a career such as mine. It's kinda like they only have two braincells left. Ones brain-dead and the others trying to commit suicide.

I'm in retail and I'm SURROUNDED by F%%king IDIOTS!!!!!!!! Idiot co-workers and idiot "customers." I put that in quotes because the late night clientelle are a lot of dumb white kids wishing they were fly urban black kids so that they might get a girlfriend. They mainly like to throw things, and then I bitch at them.

There is only one real idiot left where I work (on my shift, on the other shifts, there are tons of them). This moron is a compulsive liar. 99.99% of the things out of his mouth are B.S. He's been off work now for a couple of months. He did this last year too, just about the exact same time... the beginning of October... harvest season? Yeah, he's a part time farmer. Last year, he made up some bull story about having a bunch of work to do on his house. He had to replace a few windows, replace the furnace and waterheater, and a few other things. But he only RENTS his house... shouldn't that be the job of the landlord? This year he started calling in sick, said he got a back injury. Then it just snowballed. He made a claim to FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) and applied for short term disability. He FINALLY comes back to work on Nov. 1st. The site manager says that if he comes back with a note for restricted duty, he can't stay... he is to be sent home. There can't be any issues with him possibly getting hurt at work and making a claim that work caused his back injury. My supervisor says that he doesn't want this guy doing any lifting of bending or climbing. So, he's back for almost a week and was going to climb up one of the storage racks, but is told that he's not supposed to be doing that as per the supervisor's request. The VERY NEXT DAY he comes in with a doctor's note saying that he's on restrictive duty... no bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, stretching... etc etc etc. Now, back to the site manager's statement (which this guy didn't know about before hand), I have to send this guy home because the note claim's he is not 100% cleared to work. The note said he was of restrictive duty until the 18th (after the next appointment). I heard last night, that he is now off until the 5th of December.

Everyone knows that this @$$clown has been farming and that he has not sustained a back injury. He was seen at a local department store carrying one of his kids around. He makes claims that he can't stand for more than 10 minutes at a time before it starts to hurt. But he can stand around in the office talking to people about his injury or the doctor's appointments he's been to for 30 to 45 minutes at a time.... all the while holding onto two free cases of pudding.

Nothing against farmers or farming. Someone has to do it. But this is a part time thing for this guy, his fulltime job suffered and he screwed around with the insurance company and other agencies so that he could do this farming and still get 60% of his wages from the fulltime job (while not working it), he also gets to maintain the banked sick time and vacation time.

The good news about the whole thing... the site manager has contacted the insurance company and red flagged him for possible fraud. The insurance company is now investigating and refused to pay the claims he and his doctor's have filed.

Right now I'm hoping that they nail his @$$ to the wall and that he has to pay everything back. They will be looking for a reason to fire him, or they will be looking to replace everyone else on my shift. No one wants to work with him and we've all said that if he doesn't go, we will.

Similar experience to what Triple650Indy said in his first post. All I have to say is that I work with a couple surgeons that like to ride. Most of them already have what I like to call the god complex so I find it comical when talking sledding to them because they always have to be better and more right then you even when there totally wrong.
