i actually am getting really mad at you for being so stupid. i have never had this feeling for anyone not even in person but somehow you can convince me. i am sure there are some other people who feel the same way about this bad situation. your mind is weird. you want something better, so you get a better sled like every season or whatever. then you arnt pleased so you have to "mod" it. doing stupid/pointless things that just end up loosing you money. come on kid, your only 14.[V]

listen to everyone on this site and do the right thing. just get that 440 back together. you will have way less problems in the future if you leave it stock.
Don't be a hypocrit and fix your nun, your just as bad in my mind maybe worse. Atleast if he doesn't fix his problem he won't hurt himself or others.

Sean, K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid. Before you start to make some sort of mod engine that will be "cheaper" think hard over what quinlan, ibreakstuff and others have said. Right now you just need a cylinder and piston. It doesn't get too much simpler than that for a engine rebuild. Just buy a nice used or new set, put them in and you can ride all winter. If you try to make this other engine you will need carbs, exhuast, electrical, new clutching, etc Then comes the headache of putting all that together and making it work day in and day out. I'm not trying to keep you from nice things. Just giving advice from one rider to the other. Get that piston and cylinder, install it, maintenance the sled, and enjoy it. I gaurantee you will have a grin from ear to ear all winter its a fun sled to ride. Just keep it simple and you will have more fun riding than sitting in the garage wondering why something doesn't work.

PS BRP...the 440 isn't modular.[Disappointed]

Wasn't the 2001 the only ProX that ran pump gas and was basically a trail sled??[drif]
No, because I either have to run 92+ or 110+ octane or I get to rebuild my motor.
You can run 92 or 110 in the 01 pro x on the same head, since it had that timing switch.
All the race ProX's had the timing switch, you still need to switch the heads and some clutching parts.

The only stock pump gas ones would be the fanners I believe.
Yeh I'm talking about the other timing switch like in the ignition where you turn the key to 110 or 92. On the 2001 Pro X 440 there is only one cylinder head, which you can run 92 or 110 off of.

I dont know where you get all your money. Your only 14. Why dont you just fix up the 440 and if at the end of the season you think you need more power you can just drop in a 600 or 700 and sell your "very expensive 440" and just go that direction.

Personally I would have just held on to your 700. That was a nice sled and as said befor you knew everything about it since you had it torn down so many times.

Info on the 600.

we all said that when you goto the 440 you will not like having an underpowered sled compared to your 700.. Although you assured us and said it would fit for what you do. And look at this, you havent even rode it yet and you want a bigger motor. Funny.

The 600 would also be a more reliable motor.

This shit just pisses me off that this kid gets 4 sleds the time I've been here (a year and a half maybe) and I got one that I fixed that hadnt run in 5-6 years and a 99 I bought...Just bullshit, I don't have enough money for mods and I'm 16. Parts, Gas, and Oil are just expensive as hell on a kid.

Work more, spend less. It's really a simple concept.[thumb]

Evan, I thought you said you were making re-enforcements on it, not replacing it. And guess what, MY NUN IS BRAND NEW, AS WELL AS THE REST OF MY BULKHEAD!

Not to try and take sides which I'm not(but think this is all pretty funny) The kid is going to do what he wants cause it is his sled, we can give him tons and tons of options or just tell him straight forward and it's like we never said anything to him! So I'd just let him do what he wants and see what the outcome is... I fore see him rushing to get his sled done when there is 6inches of snow outside or snow flying for that matter. He worries about how his sled looks but realistically should be worrying about if the damn thing is going to run! There is nothing wrong right now with his sled paint or graphics wise so why don't he just fix what needs to be fixed ride it for a season then look to possibly paint his sled come summer??? I don't know mabey I am not thinking right but that is what I would do. Sorry for my rant, I just don't get Sean!

Ya i totally agree, all the good advice people have given him he has just ignored it, So i am going to try and stop posting in this thread as its totally pointless, now i see why everyone gives this kid shit..

Not going to lie, but i would prolly paint it too even if it didnt run, especially if it was only a few bucks like he said. But then again, i would not paint this sled, its just not going to look very good with spray paint, i do think some of the sleds can look good with spray paint, im spray painting one of the my wedges and have before, it came out decent.. Anyways.. Good luck with your sled and your bright ideas..

since your thinking a 600, why not just take a few steps up and goto an 800 mod? Maybe throw a 136 or 144 with a custom tunnel. Then get a sled wrap from ArcticFX for custom airbrushing from Trickpaint. Maybe a BOSS seat, or a freestyle seat? That would look pretty awesome..................[beatup]

OR you could just fix it?
