I have this polaris clutch that came off a parts 93 580 i bought, it was already off. I had bought a polaris clutch puller for my original sled which works, but it doesnt fit this other clutch. the markings on the clutch says 05/17/93 and under it, it says 571. the diameter of the hole inside is a bit smaller but the threads are the same so i need a smaller diameter puller but i cant seem to find wihhc one. can anyone help me?!

it sounds to me that you may have a newer twin clutch with the old 93 outer cover on it. the newer clutches have a smaller inner hole but have the same threads

Don't the new twin clutches have a different taper then the old ones? Would it even fit?

taper is the same, it will go on but have fun getting it off. you have to make a custom puller to get it back off

I gotcha.

You should check the taper, i know some P85 clutchs have a deeper taper then other ones. I found this out when i was given the wrong clutch from a shop this summer. It is the same angle of taper just deeper with a larger radius.

i know my clutch from rxl goes on my 98 xc 600 twin but need to use 98 clutch bolt plus some sort of sleave cause then bolt has a bit of side to side movement nothing i want to mess with plus my 98 had to use puller that is only for the 97-99 model yr nothing else works
